How to properly bathe your Yorkie.

Our precious Yorkies are adorable with that shiny long coat. But as we all know, it's really hard to keep it knot free and bath time for most of us is a challenge...
Here are some tricks you can do to achieve the results you want and make it less stressful for your little one:
  • Always use conditioner.
After the regular bath with a gentle shampoo, apply some conditioner all over your yorkie's body and rinse well.
  • Brush them in the shower.
Brush them after you have applied the conditioner. That way it's easier for you and painless for your Yorkie.
  • Put cotton balls in their ears.
Make sure to protect his/hers ears while you bathe them. Put some cotton balls that way you'll prevent the water from going in.
  • Use a rubber mat.
Bathtubs can be very slippery. Just put a rubber mat in and you'll be fine.
  • Reward them with a treat after.
Bath time for most dogs is a stressful time. But if you give them a delicious treat after, they will learn that they will have something good to expect and they might stop hating it so much.

10 signs your yorkie loves you!!

1) Staring directly into your eyes.
They say the eyes are the window the the soul. Cliché, yes, but if that saying was to apply to one thing, there’s nothing more fitting than the stare a dog owner and his companion share. That’s because each time it happens, triggers in both brains are being fired, and the love hormone oxytocin is released, a new study has found.
2) Yawning when you yawn.
Yawning is contagious. But did you know this impulse isn’t limited to just humans?
Dogs, because they’ve been bred to read humans, also yawn when someone they love yawns.

3) Leaning on you. Sometimes a dog will lean on a human because he is anxious, wants you to do something, or take him somewhere. But leaning is also a symbol of affection.

4) Returns your calls.
When your dog hears your voice calling him and returns, it certainly means he loves you and respects you.

5) Bristles when you talk about others.
Most yorkies just want to be the center of your world!!

6) Takes an interest in what you are doing.
He saws you that he simply cares about anything you care and wants to learn.

  7) Jumps up wanting to be held.
That can be a little upsetting especially when you are holding stuff that brakes but it can also be very cute...

  8) Wakes you up.
He just wants to start the day with his favorite person.

  9) Follows you everywhere.
Like the song: "every breath you take".... you can figure out the rest!
!
10) Smiles at you.
That's a good signal that he's happy -- and more importantly, happiest with you!
